Lavender oil is one of the most famous oil in beauty, aromatherapy & fragrance industry.
The oil is expensive with pricing in India. Some production has been started in India also in Kashmir, which is of particularly good quality.
Major uses for Lavender Oil:
- Lavender Oil when applied on skin reverse sign of aging. It promotes healthy and glowing skin. A perfect beauty treatment.

Here are some DIY of lavender oil-:
Lavender oil acts as skin lightning agent
Lavender oil helps in removing dark spots, discoloration if you have any hyperpigmentation apply lavender oil to get affective results
Step 1-: Mix 2-3 drops of lavender oil with 7-8 drops of coconut oil
Step-: Apply it on your face twice a day, will keep your skin without any marks.
Lavender oil for acne
Lavender oil works to kill bacteria, and this can prevent and heals acne marks. It opens all the skin pores and reduces inflammation when you put it on your skin.
Step1- Dilute it in coconut oil or another carrier oil.
Step 2-: apply it to your skin after washing your face and leave it overnight.
Lavender oil as facial toner
Lavender oil can also be used as a facial toner and can give you even skin tone.
Step 1- Mix 2-3 drops of lavender oil with one teaspoon of white hazel.
Step 2-: Soak a cotton ball in the mixture and gently rub that on your face.
Lavender oil moisturises your skin
In winters dry skin is the problem that everyone faces. Lavender oil is the cure of your dry skin, your skin gets dry, itchy, and scaly. It can appear mild or chronic and in multiple locations. Since lavender has antifungal properties and reduces inflammation and keep your skin moisturised.
Step 1-: Mix lavender oil with any carrier oil like coconut oil and apply it on your face
You will feel your skin is glowing. You can apply it daily there are no side effects.
Lavender oil as aromatherapy diffuser
Lavender oil can also be used for aromatherapy, in diffusers it gives a pleasant aroma. Aromatherapy activates the areas in your nose called nose receptors, which sends message to your brain. The oil helps in activation area of your brain, it makes to feel more relaxed and free from stress.
Wound healing properties in Lavender oil
For any cut, burn, scratches or any wound lavender oil helps as a healing agent in all the cases.
Even it will help in reducing all the scars of the wound. Lavender oil plays role in both the cases it acts as an insect repellent also it heals the insect bite. Even many insect repellents, mosquito repellent consists of lavender oil.
Either lavender oil in candles or in sprays can be used as a repellent against mosquito bugs etc.
In candle
Step1-: add few drops to the candle.
Step 2-put the candle outdoors.
As sprays
Step 1- add it with water in ratio 1:2.
Step 2-: Spray the mixture it will act as insect repellent.
Lavender oil heal insect bite
Insect bite causes itchiness redness or rashes lavender oil helps in reducing the redness and itchiness caused by insect bite. To treat an insect bite with lavender oil, mix one or two drops with a carrier oil, like coconut. Put the mixture on the bite twice a day or more. If your pain stings, a drop of peppermint oil mixed in can help numb it.
The right way to use
How you use lavender oil depends on why you are using that. You can put it on your skin with or without a carrier oil to form a lotion. If you are putting at any cut or wound always use a cotton ball for that because cotton ball will cause less pain and will be more hygienic.
